It all started in early March of 2008. After 3 flights, two thunderstorms and a 14-hour car ride, I ended up in the heart of the Amazon rain forest in an adventure of a lifetime. Sailing in a motorboat down the river, surrounded by wild creatures, swimming with freshwater dolphins, eating exotic fruits, I was enchanted by the mystery and beauty of the Earth's most diverse ecosystem.
As I made my way through the jungle I started to explore from behind the scenes, the kind of footage you don't see on your discovery channel. What I saw ranged from the pristine beauty of nature at its wildest to heart wrenching emotional scenes. One thing I learned was that globalization has reached some of the most remote spots on Earth. As I entered the first Indian reservation, I heard a familiar sound blasting from giant speakers. "To the left, to the left, everything you own in a box to the left, in the closet that's my stuff yes if I bought it would you please don't touch." That's right. It was Beyoncé Knowles, or Sasha Fierce, whatever her name is.
I knew hip-hop culture had a large influence on American kids but I didn't know it had seeped through the Amazon basin, where a few years ago people were walking around naked and fishing with wooden spears. This experience reinforced the idea that everything is connected and the flapping of a butterfly wings in Kansas might bring about a typhoon in Southeast Asian. This phenomenon known as the butterfly effect in described in depth by the quantum mechanics theory. If all particle of the universe are connected, then the movement of a quantum particle in one side of the universe starts a chain reaction that reverberates throughout the entire cosmos. Since every thought is made up of energy, then your very own thoughts have a far-reaching, powerful effect even on the most distant galaxies. Therefore, if you would like to contribute please send an intention of preservation and conservation, envisioning a clean, pure, pristine, balanced, peaceful, ecosystem where every living thing is in utmost harmony.
